As a senior associate in our international corporate practice, Russell advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including complex and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and corporate advisory matters.

Russell represents clients across a number of sectors, including technology, life sciences, financial services and real estate. Russell recently completed a secondment with the legal team supporting Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he advised on private capital transactions spanning private equity, growth equity, emerging markets and strategic investments. Earlier in his career, Russell had been seconded to our corporate team in Dubai where he advised on cross-border transactions.

Representative experience

Asurion, a global leader in technology care, support, and protection, on its acquisition of Domestic & General, a major appliance care provider operating across the UK and Europe.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management on its investment in Mews Systems B.V. as part of the company’s US$110m Series C+ fundraising round.

Supponor on its sale to Bruin Capital-backed TGI Sport, a global leader in sports technology and media rights.

Akamai Technologies, a NASDAQ listed cloud computing company, on the acquisition of Ondat, a cloud-based storage technology provider located in London.

Viatris, Inc. on the restructuring of its biosimilar business as part of the US$3.3bn sale of the business to Biocon Ltd in India.

Soho Square Capital on its growth investment in Live Manage Facilitate, a leading installer of renewable energy measures in properties across the UK.

Eurazeo and Montana on MBO+’s €190m continuation fund to acquire Groupe LT and Osmaia.

 

The British Council on the sale of its IELTS business in India to IDP Education Limited.

Patron Capital on the disposal of Punch Pubs & Co to Fortress Investment Group.

DBAY on its public takeover of Telit Communications Plc and its related financing.

U+I on the sale of its stakes in the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus and Shepherds Bush Market.
