Nata is a part of the Hogan Lovells's International Arbitration Group. She is an international arbitration practitioner with extensive experience handling complex, high-value disputes across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong focus on construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects. Nata acts as both counsel and arbitrator and has significant expertise representing clients before Dispute Avoidance and Adjudication Boards in major construction and infrastructure projects.

Nata has extensive experience advising clients and representing them in high-stakes arbitrations, both ad hoc and institutional (ICC, SIAC, DIS, Swiss Rules, DIA rules, LCIA, etc.). Her practice spans a wide array of industries, including construction and infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels, and water, sewage, and wastewater systems), energy (oil and gas, offshore and onshore wind, and hydroelectric power), transportation (metro and railway projects), and aerospace and defense.

Nata’s practice is notably focused on cases involving parties and projects from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Türkiye.

Beyond her casework, Nata is actively involved in the international arbitration community. She is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and serves as Community Ambassador Network (CAN) Ambassador to Georgia for the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC). She joined the Board of Directors of ArbitralWomen in 2022 and was appointed Secretary of ArbitralWomen in 2024.

Nata regularly speaks at conferences, lectures on international arbitration, and contributes to leading publications in the field. Fluent in English, German, Russian, and Georgian, she combines her multilingual capabilities and cross-cultural experience to provide strategic, effective, and nuanced representation to clients in complex international disputes.

Representative experience

Representing an employer in two parallel arbitrations (against the contractor and an engineer) in disputes arising out of a bridge construction.

Representing several Eastern European state entities in construction disputes (negotiation, dispute boards and arbitration) arising out of infrastructure projects (roads, energy, rail infrastructure).

Representing a leading tunneling technology company in ICC arbitration against a Turkish joint venture regarding the construction of a high-speed railway in Turkey.

Representing a respondent in a construction arbitration related to damage claims arising out of an offshore windfarm agreement.

Representing an employer in construction arbitration related to the construction of water and sewerage systems in 2 cities in an Eastern European country.

Representing a leading aerospace company in a supply chain dispute against a US supplier.

 

Representing an Eastern European state-owned entity in a multi-billion ad-hoc arbitration case in the oil and gas sector arising out of a Production Sharing Agreement.

Representing a leading defense company in a supply chain arbitration regarding the delivery of reconnaissance hardware and software.

Representing a multinational corporation in several arbitration proceedings under different arbitration rules concerning supply contracts in the maritime sector.

Representing a leading pharmaceutical company in a post M&A dispute against the seller regarding subsequent supply issues.

Representing a number of U.S. automotive suppliers in several post-M&A arbitrations.

Acted as arbitrator in multiple arbitration proceedings involving consultancy agreements in the airspace industry, supply of oil and gas products, oil supply agreements, and share sale transactions
