Dr. Florian von Schreitter is a counsel in our Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation (ACER) team and advises clients across industries on the full spectrum of German and EU competition law. He also leads the ACER group’s knowledge management in Continental Europe, with a particular focus on Germany and Brussels, ensuring that ACER clients receive timely, tailored and cost-efficient legal advice.
Florian has extensive experience in competition and antitrust law, gained both at Hogan Lovells and during his tenure as a senior associate in the Düsseldorf and Brussels offices of a leading German law firm as well as the London office of a British Magic Circle firm. His practice spans behavioral and merger control matters across a wide range of sectors – from representing clients in complex, often multi-jurisdictional mergers (including Phase II reviews) and competition litigation to advising on the structuring of distribution systems and on competition-law compliant commercial practices. He has significant experience at the interface of competition law and regulation and has represented national and international clients in cartel and administrative proceedings before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office. He is repeatedly recognized as a leading expert by Who’s Who Legal (now: Lexology Index) and The Legal 500.
In addition, Florian is the author of numerous publications in the field of competition and antitrust law, with a particular focus on cartel fines, compliance and merger control.
